Photo of the Day [POTD]: shape of things to come

You never were one to mince your words. Or did I tell you that already? But sometimes, you could ease up a little bit. Brutal honesty does get a bit painful, once in a while.

It was a fleeting moment. You stood across the parquet and donned your summer hat and dark glasses. But you really never learned to stay in one place for a lengthy period of time.

The words rang out, and in an instant, I jumped to my feet. The hours spent sitting on the curb in anticipation could not have prepared me for what was about to happen.

It’s kind of funny how we arrive at one place and how our lives seem to unfold. Who really predicted that this is where would end up, after 63 years of the same thing.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: déja vu

I can’t quite place my finger on it, but there’s something about you that is oddly familiar. Are you sure we haven’t met? In a past life perhaps?
Photo of the Day [POTD]: twice bitten

It’s kind of nerve-racking, going through these major changes. Once was enough. Going through it again is just painful. But being as it is, we just have to hunker down; grin and bear it and face the challenge with open arms.

“Do you ever wonder where it all began; where all of this started?”
“No, not you and me. Everything… in general. I always wanted to find out”
Photo of the Day [POTD]: heroes

If you want Superman to come, there’s got to be someone worth saving first.
iBlur and DXP

After upgrading to the new iPhone 3.0 software update, it seemed like I had a brand new phone. The features were just too massive to ignore. As a result, I did a bit of application Spring cleaning, so to speak. I started deleting some of the more useless apps to free up some space. But in doing so, I also got tempted to download a few new applications… of the free variety, of course. And through my iTunes store scouring, I found two photo apps that you may find quite fun to use with your iPhone.

Recreational drugs was never my thing… and I never really understood why you enjoyed them so much. Sure life became more vivid and colorful, but in the end, you lost so much more.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: waterworks

Cry me a monsoon; it makes no difference. Your waterworks may have played me for a fool a thousand times before. Not this time.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: secrets

You know almost everything about me; I spilled my guts out over a few rounds, shot after shot. And as my tongue loosened, you retreated into yourself, whisking away the words with a swig from your flask.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: harsh

It was a one time thing. No one was ever meant to get hurt. But the betrayal of trust really bent things out of place. Are you just supposed to forgive and forget? Probably not… but that’s what I’m hoping for.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: shipbuilding

We can go ship building and sail across the sea. We’ll stay in a deserted island and start our own little utopia.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: choices

You gave me a taste of your bitter fruit — one that left a sour after taste on my palate. But there are too many sweet pickings out there for me to stay depressed.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: sleepless

I couldn’t sleep last night… and counting sheep was a bit difficult, after the multiple shots of bourbon. Who ever thought that growing up would be so difficult?
Photo of the Day [POTD]: high horse

Sure, we grew up under different circumstances. But a silver spoon doesn’t make you the king of everthing.
Pilar moments in Bay
Yesterday, we headed over to Bay for a day of relaxation. But when Pilar is around, you have no slow moments — tring to keep up with her and get her attention is a full time activity.

Photo of the Day [POTD]: play time

It’s always fun when you’re around. The games, the conversations the weird things you do always seem to put a smile on my face.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: master plans

In the grander scheme of things, you and I are really very insignificant. But I’m content to move about in our little world — enjoy our here and now.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: the pact

Some choices are more difficult then others. In fact, sometimes it seems near impossible to actually make that decision. Maybe we’re all better off being fencesitters and witnesses to the world unfolding.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: karma

It all comes back to you in the end. Sure. I’ve heard it all before — the idioms, the maxims, the advice. But maybe, this time will be different.
