Photo of the Day [POTD]: fun and games
You disarm me with your naiveté and penchant for cartoons, but force me into defensive mode with your candor and insensitivity. Like a Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde, I just don’t know which of you is going to appear.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: early warning

I should’ve seen it coming. All the signs were there. But as they say, ignorance is bliss. Right now, I’m wishing I was the dumbest person alive.
The new iPhone 3G[s]
iPhone lovers, here’s a bit of good news… and some bad news too.

Apple has launched it’s new iPhone calling it the iPhone 3G [s]. Of course, with a new iPhone version comes a whole lot of new functions. Among the more notable additions are:
- Improved speed — faster launching of apps
- Video function
- 3.0 megapixel camera
- up to 32g capacity
- Cut-Copy-Paste function
- Landscape Keyboard
- Internet Tethering –sharing the internet connection from your laptop
- Accessibility
- Search function across the iPhone
Of course, Apple promises much more with their new and improved iPhone. For more info, you can read this.
I know most iPhone 3G owners are groaning because of the cooler new functions that the new model offers… but that’s just the way technology works. And, as a bit of consolation (for me, as well), there will be a Software Update (3.0) for old iPhone owners coming this June 17… and some of the new functions will be included in the update — including the much sought after Cut-Copy-Paste function.
Type Drawing
My cousin Danni is the Devil… at least when it comes to iPhone applications. Every time she whips out her iPhone, she tempts me with new apps to download. Thankfully, they are of the 99¢ value; not too heavy on the thinning wallet.
Yesterday, she introduced me to Type Drawing — a typography based iPhone application with lots of fun filled uses.
If you’re a fan of typography, this app may just be for you. Have fun creating your messages, create drawings using the font and do a hundred other stuff with it.

At the moment, the application offers a limited number of fonts, and a handful of backgrounds, but this should change, come more updates from the developers.
You can even take photos and add your message, as you see fit.

Photo of the Day [POTD]: sweet and sour

It was a bit difficult getting here. After all, there were quite a few barriers and impediments along the way. But as the movie line goes, the sweet just isn’t as sweet, without the sour.
Yehey Pandesal
I opened my mail, after a quick cigarette break. Lo and behold, I got a surprise from my friend, Belle

For the record, Yehey! Corporation has not branched out into baked goods. ^_^
Or the food business, as seen here.
Update:
You can read about the Yehey Pandesal campaign in Malaya.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: afterglow

It’s those instances that we just part that where I can feel that churning inside. Not a bad feeling… but more like hearing an Edie Brickel song playing in your head, after your 1st prom.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: heavy cloud

The ambiguity is something you choose to brush off with a shrug and a smirk. When did the lines get blurred between us? Now we’re neither here nor there.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: roxanne

I’ve got that last song syndrome — that tune playing over and over in my head. I can’t get rid of it… or the thought of you.
Photo of the Day [POTD]: beneath the surface

Either you really don’t get it, or you just choose to be callous and indifferent. Do I have to spell it out for you to get through?
Photo of the Day [POTD]: crossroads
I looked past a lot of things… your shortcomings and faults. But this infidelity has led me to this point. Decisions will have to be made.
Philippine Fashion Week — RTW
Yesterday, I headed over to the Main Atrium of SM MOA to check out Philippine Fashion Weeks Ready to Wear Collection. I do not consider myself a fashionista — in fact, I dress kind of dull… conservatively. But of course, I was there for the photo opportunity, and more importantly, to support my friend Julius Tarog.
On display at the RTW collection show were designers Ava Paguyo, Eddie Castro, Efren Ocampo, Greta Castro, Julius Tarog, Nicky Martinez, Nikki Sonico, Pencil Diestra, Reian Mata, Ricky Abad, Twinkle Ferraren and Ziggy Savella.
Here are a few photos from the event.

If you have something on your mind, just speak up. We have to let our voices be heard.
Live Free
Last Saturday, I experienced a concert of a different kind.
Life Haven, Inc., an organization promoting the Independent Living philosophy for persons with disabilities (PWD) held a benefit concert at Crossroads 77 to raise funds to continue their services of assistance to PWDs in need.
On hand to showcase their talents were a few special performers: the Beautiful Gate Performance Art Troupe from Malaysia, the talents of Tahanang Walang Hagdan Ballroom Dancers on Wheelchairs, Bahay Mapagmahal Rondalla on Wheels and the Sparkle Band, as well as an up and coming band, the Good Morning High Fives and one of my fave local bands, Juan Pablo Dream.

We may not always like the results, but it’s a fact of life that we have to live with our actions.
