Jaqui & Maan
So Jaqui and Maan finally tied the knot.
7 years is a long time. But it also makes the event so much sweeter.
Here are a few photos:

LX3 love
A few years back, I fell in love with the Panasonic Lumix LX3. Sadly, I had to sell my old trusty to purchase the Panasonic GF1. But ever since that day I sold it, I have been hankering for the compact camera’s power and flexibility — especially in the Macro mode.
I was able to find a cheap, hardly used second-hand LX3 in the market and made the decision to grab it.
Here are a few photos…
feets
As I am already heavily invested in some Canon L lenses, I decided to make the most out of them and find a way to pair them with my Panasonic Lumix GF1.
I headed over to a local camera shop an purchased a Kiwi Fotos lens mount adapter for Canon EF lenses and went for a test flight.
Naturally, the feel of the whole set-up is kind of awkward, as the lens is much much heavier than the body. And, this being a non-native lens, the focusing has to be done manually.
It takes some getting used to, and I’ll probably be investing quite a bit of time on this. But for now, here are some sample shots.

Christmas decor at t. che’s
Meals at Tita Cheche’s are always a visual treat. Aside from the great food, the table settings are always something to look forward to.
As some members of the family left for their respective vacations, we had our Christmas dinner early this year. And here are some of the table decors.

manila ocean park
As I was cleaning out my almost empty internal hard disk to free up some space, I came across a few photos that I had not yet posted. As the title suggests, they are photos from Manila Ocean Park.
So before I delete them / move them to my external hard disk, here are a few selected images from that day.
The Bencab Museum
One destination that I have been itching to go to is the Bencab Museum. Last Saturday, I was finally able to visit the wonderful museum during my trip up to Baguio. As luck would have it, Bencab himself was there to take us through some of the corridors and halls.

weekend diversion
This was a pretty busy weekend, but I made sure to take a few photos, while bouncing from place to place. Here are a few select photos from the past three days.

GF1 test shots
After selling some of my gear, I had saved enough money to buy my new toy, the Panasonic GF1. Ever since the news of this breakthrough camera came out, I had been foaming at the mouth to get one. So after many months, I finally held one in my hands.
Here are a few test shots.
Jewelmer presents Rhett Eala celebrating 20 years
Jewelmer, together with Collezione celebrated 20 years of Rhett Eala’s distinguished career, fittingly with a fashion show.
I purposely forgot my DSLR and brought along my trusty LX3 to take few snaps for the evening. Little did I know that it would be a bit difficult shooting a ramp show with a point and shoot. But I think some of the photos came out quite well.
Here’s a few samples:
nude session
Over the weekend, we were able to schedule a nude painting / photo session. Here are a few of my faves…

Anchor Connoiseur Duels
Yehey, in cooperation with Anchor held a special blogger cook off yesterday, at the Magsaysay Institute of Hospitality & Culinary Arts. The Connoisseur Duel pitted the cooking skills and imagination of the bloggers, given a short time limit with provided ingredients to plate a whole 3 course meal.
The judges on board:
1. Dorothy Ferreira, well respected pastry chef and culinary teacher.
2. Juan Miguel Borja, Senior Chef Instructor at MIHCA
3. Leah Barin, Food Service Manager for Fonterra.
At the end of the event, the judges were fairly impressed with the dishes. But more importantly, everyone had fun in the kitchen and even got to sample the food that they had slaved over.
Here are some photos from the event:

Mio fighst Cancer
Last Friday, a slew of celebrities and musicians all made their way to Music Museum in support of Mio — a five year old boy battling cancer. The show of concern was overwhelming, as the participation of so many groups and individuals was really inspiring.

Dumaguete hits
Over the supposed stormy weekend, we headed over to Dumaguete for a much needed vacation. Short, it may have been, but re-energizing, nevertheless. Here are some photos from the weekend.
