summer days
Again, I found another gem hiding in my hard disks. It’s not really a great photo, by any means, but this seems to be another best seller in my Stock Photo sites.
Taken in Boracay (in front of Friday’s), circa 2005.
rummaging
I was rummaging through my hard disks again and found this gem of a photo. It’s one of my first photos that I ever put up on my Stock Photo sites and is still one of my best sellers.
This was take in Mandala Spa, Boracay.
Loboc Youth Ambassadors
If you find yourself in Bohol, one of the attractions that is still somewhat undiscovered and unpromoted is the Loboc Youth Ambassadors band. Not a sight for sight-seeing, but definitely a wonderful sight to behold.
A group of children (ages probably ranging from 9 to 17) amazed the packed auditorium with their amazing talent and skill. Not only are they adept at playing their brass instruments, but their choreography (on such a small stage) was impeccable. It was a wonder that they did not bump into each other.
And their repertoire of songs was a delight to the ears, as the band played everything from Deodato to the Jackson 5 to Earth, Wind & Fire, to Frank Sinatra to The Ventures to Europe.
I had no idea what to expect, as we were rushed into the room to catch the final show for the evening (just after our Loboc Night River Tour), so I was just blown away by the performance. And I was surprised to learn that we actually caught the B-Team on that particular night.
A-Team, B-Team. It didn’t matter. or should I say, it really doesn’t matter. These kids rock. Hard. The world is starting to take notice of these kids (as they have been invited to perform in various countries — most recently China). So the next time you head over to Bohol, make sure you catch the wonderful performance.
And I leave you with this video for a sample of their performance. Not my favorite number (the opening act was), but this is the only one I was able to capture.

Dumaguete hits
Over the supposed stormy weekend, we headed over to Dumaguete for a much needed vacation. Short, it may have been, but re-energizing, nevertheless. Here are some photos from the weekend.
